Likes: Improvisation & a tight rhythm section
Dislikes: Bad Vibes
Favorite Food: A perfectly grilled souvlaki
Favorite Quote: “The only truth is music.” – Jack Kerouac
Born in New York but musically shaped in the vibrant, funk-infused scene of Washington D.C. where George discovered his signature “butter fingers” guitar tone in his 20s. He crafts musical soundscapes with the same fun he brings to his day job as an architect designing complex airport terminals with large teams. George is a driving force behind Sanford Street, the LA-based, genre-blending band known for its soulful, electro-funk arrangements. When he’s not recording, gigging, or sketching airport designs, you’ll find him out supporting the LA music scene—or spending time with his two beautiful kids.

Dislikes: Cycling in jeans
Favorite Food: Cheesecake
Favorite Quote: “It’s not the note you play that’s the wrong note – it’s the note you play afterwards that makes it right or wrong.” – Miles Davis
Guy Silliman was born and raised in a suburb of Los Angeles, just about 15 minutes north of Dodger Stadium. He began playing classical guitar at a young age, but it wasn’t until hearing and appreciating the sounds of classic rock radio that he fell in love with the electric guitar and bands such as Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, and The Who. While living in the Bay Area during and after college, Guy was introduced to and acquired a passion for live improvisational jam-oriented music. He also switched from guitar to bass at this time. After moving from the Bay Area down to San Diego for a stint, and then back to LA, he joined up with drummer Danny Rossman in 2007 to form Sanford Street.

Dislikes: Less Cowbell

Favorite Quote: “Change is not only inevitable, it is necessary.” – Frank Zappa
Scott has spent decades whoring around the L.A. music scene as a gigging percussionist. He’s shared the stage with hundreds of artists across every genre you can shake a shaker at. In Sanford Street, he lays down the congas, cowbells and chaos that hold the groove together.
